Four artist & longshoremen presenting the world around the Port of Los Angeles
‘Gangs’ in Longshoremen jargon are teams always working together on assigned tasks at the Port. Gangs are distinguished by their names and ‘Gang’s Home’ simply means that the Gang is not working at a given day.
All four artists use different medias and techniques: representational and inspirational, storytelling paintings, close up photographs that look like abstract paintings as well as wood colorful woodcarvings representing colorful imaginative creatures. Before you come to the gallery, wet your appetite with the following installation images.
